CRYSTAL THERAPY/CHAKRA BALANCING
ADD ON TO MASSAGE TREATMENT 30 MINUTES £30
60 MINUTES £60
Crystal therapy is an ancient healing system concerned with treating patients holistically through the precise placement of crystals on the body and the surrounding room. This means that, unlike Western healthcare (which tends to focus on treating one symptom/ailment at a time) crystal therapy addresses the patient as a whole - paying as much attention to his or her spiritual and emotional well-being as to their physical health.
Crystals have been used, revered and enjoyed for many thousands of years - both for their aesthetic beauty and for the peace, relaxation and harmony they seem to invoke. Crystal therapy is a non-invasive, relaxing, natural and enjoyable process. The therapy itself will offer you a chance to lie back, relax and get in touch with your body's energies so you can leave feeling refreshed, restored and de-stressed - a perfect platform for improved physical health.
How does crystal therapy work?
Crystal therapy is based on the premise that crystals can, in a sense, communicate with the energies flowing around the human body. On a microscopic level a crystal is a network of repeating geometric patterns made up of compressed ions, atoms and molecules. According to crystal therapy, every crystal has its own unique electromagnetic charge. These charges, or 'healing vibrations' are supposed to interact with the body's energy centres to remove 'blockages' and restore a healthy flow through the body and mind.
Crystal therapists choose crystals carefully for each individual patient as each one is believed to have a unique healing power. Crystal therapists then place the chosen crystal on different areas of the body in a grid-like fashion designed to stimulate energy.
Sometimes the colour of the crystal will be chosen to correspond with the supposed colour of each chakra point on the body. From the tip of the tailbone to the top of the head the colours are as follows: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.

CUPPING THERAPY FOR PAIN MANAGEMENT
60 MINUTES £70
The Functional Integrated Cupping Therapy (FICT) is based on the ancient history and application of old Chinese medicine. FICT reviews the history of vacuum therapies, its application for the treatment of various diseases and ailments.
In this treatment, I place special cups on your skin for a few minutes at a time to create suction. Cupping pulls blood to a region to stimulate healing. It is effective at stretching tight fascia and muscles. Cupping helps the tissue develop new blood flow and causes anti-inflammatory chemicals in the body.
Cupping may alleviate pain, may decrease swelling, may increase range of motion in joints all of which can assist the healing process. By creating negative pressure above the surface of the tissues, we allow the surface tissue to be lifted upwards and changing the pressure on underlying tissues, such as nerves, capillaries and fascia.
The suction and negative pressure provided by cupping can loosen muscles, encourage blood flow, and sedate the nervous system (which makes it an excellent treatment for high blood pressure).
Cupping is used to relieve:
Pains
Stiff muscles
Anxiety
Fatigue
Migraines
Rheumatism
Inflammation
Also used to help blood flow, for relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.

This is an extremely relaxing therapy which uses a combination of approaches to help calm and re-balance the body and mind. It is certainly suitable for everyone, but especially comforting for people going through illness, a cancer journey.
I was taught this therapy during my time as a volunteer at Strathcarron Hospice, and therefore this gentle approach is ideal for those people where massage is felt to be less appropriate.
Using all the techniques above, the client can be either seated or lying on my massage bed fully clothed. The “hands on” work includes gentle touch such as stroking movements, holding techniques and light use of pressure. Blankets and textures, aromas and sound are added to help add to this lovely therapy. Simple but very, very effective. It really is a fabulous therapy.
Benefits:
Calming and re-balancing.
Relieves stress and tension.
Helps stimulate a relaxing atmosphere.

Meditation is a practice where an individual or group uses techniques, such as focusing their mind on a particular object, thought or activity, to achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm state.
Meditation has been practised since antiquity in numerous religious traditions and beliefs. Since the 19th century, it has spread from its origins to other cultures where it is commonly practised in private and business life.
Meditation is used with the aim of reducing stress, anxiety, depression, and pain, and increasing peace, perception and well being and I incorporate sound into this, by using angel tuning forks, Tibetan tingsha cymbals and other sound instruments alongside a soothing calm, peaceful soundtrack.
**MEDITATION IS IDEAL FOR ALLEVIATING STRESS IN THE WORKPLACE AND MANY CORPORATE CLIENTS ENJOY THIS **
